Star Online Technologies Ltd. ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Star Online mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App. By accessing or using Star Online, you consent to the practices described herein.

a) Personal Information:

• Account Data: Name, email, phone number, and address (required for Local Outlet/Reseller Shop registration).

• Transaction Records: Purchase history and utility payment details (no payment card/bank data collected).

b) Operational Information:

• Location Data: Precise GPS coordinates only when you enable location services to view Islamic prayer times.

• Usage Patterns: Features accessed and transaction timestamps (anonymous behavioral data).

c) Third-Party Data:

• Service status from telecom/utility partners (for recharge/bill payments).

2. How We Use Your Information

• Process mobile recharges and utility bill payments

• Provide accurate Islamic prayer times based on your GPS location

• Manage your Local Outlet or Reseller Shop

• Deliver customer support and service notifications

• Improve App functionality through anonymous usage analytics

• Comply with Bangladeshi legal requirements

3. Information Sharing

We only share data when essential:

• Utility Partners: Mobile operators (e.g., GP, Banglalink) and service providers (e.g., DESCO) for bill processing.

• Legal Requirements: To authorities if mandated by Bangladeshi law.

• Business Transfers: During ownership changes (with user notification).

4. Data Security

We implement:

• Encryption for all data transmissions

• Regular security vulnerability scans

• Strict access controls to personal data
  Note: You are responsible for maintaining account credentials security.

5. Location Data Specifics

• GPS access is strictly optional and only used for:

  ✓ Displaying local service providers (if enabled)

• You may disable location access anytime via device settings.

6. User Rights

You may:

• Access or correct personal data through App settings

• Delete transaction history (except records required by law)

• Opt out of non-essential communications

7. Children’s Privacy

Star Online is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Data Retention

• Active accounts: Until deletion request

• Transaction records: 3 years (as per Bangladesh VAT Act 1991)

• Location data: Immediately deleted after prayer time calculation

9. Policy Updates

Users will be notified of changes via in-app announcements.
